You are an incredible, kind human being, and a bright force in this world. He listened to me, heard my situation, and decided to be a beacon of kindness and light at a time where we are all so in need of just that. He didn’t want me to have to pay or wait for such an easy, quick fix. 10 minutes later and Deseo is there pointing me to my parked car and informing me that he had FIXED IT HIMSELF, and that there would be no charge. He told me to wait in the waiting room and he’d bring it around. I begrudgingly agreed to the terms, but told Deseo I needed to get my kiddos car seat out of the car before they took it for the day. He put up with my (kind ish) dissatisfaction when he told me how much the techs cost per hour (I was in shock and disheartened that an improper close of my trunk was going to cost $$$), and honored my request for Subaru to take care of a Lyft even though it was company policy to only do that when a car is undergoing major work and repair. At first he made a phone call to make sure they could get to it today. I really needed my car, and was pretty disappointed when I showed up Monday to find they were so backed up at Subaru that they weren’t even seeing cars until WEDNESDAY! Enter hero: Deseo Perez. My parents were in town from TN, and we like many others, hadn’t been together in over a year and a half. I made an appt for early Monday, 3/29, to have it taken care of. My dog canopy belt had gotten stuck in my rear gate lock and jammed it up. My most recent experience with Subaru, however, was simply ABOVE AND BEYOND all expectations. From making sure that my vehicle is in tip top shape to providing transportation so that I do not skip a beat in regards to my professional and personal experience. Subaru has always, every single time without fail, made sure that I was taken care of. I am a single Mamma working 6 out of 7 days a week and a car is vital for transportation to and from work as well as the safe transportation of my toddler to a from a myriad of places. If your main concern is going from point A to point B no one can do it cheaper than a Mirage.I leased my 2028 Forester from Subaru Portland about 2.5 years ago, which in and of itself was an easy and joyful experience, but I write today about the incredible service I have received from Subaru Portland since the signing of my lease. Example was the Nissan Versa, its was 3645.00 more money, had half the warranty. No other car manufacturer could come close on price. Why is this? Well, Mirage owners get what this car is about, great MPG without dealing with the expense of buying a hybrid, Great warranty, Above average reliability, Great safety ratings, Cheap car to insure and maintain. Reviewers online hate the car ( Consumer Reports, Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds, ect) but owner give … it one of highest consumer satisfaction ratings among its class. Only problem is if you want a loaded car you are forced to get the CVT. The manual is more fun to drive and get more MPG. The only warranty claim on any of them was a cracked armrest on the door. After owning 4 of these, 2 hatchbacks and 2 sedans, One was a 5 speed manual, rest were the CVT.
