Each season you may decide what quantity to reserve and pay the maintenance in accordance with that amount. You do not have to commit to the consumption of the whole harvest. Your mango tree produces an average of 20kg of organic mangoes each season. If your adoption dies, we will replace it with no additional cost assuring the delivery of your harvest from others. For as long as you want to keep it and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew your adoption year after year. Your adoption is 22 years old and its productive life is around 30 years. That is the reason why we chose to grow organic fruits. As farmers we need to understand our responsibility in taking care of our lands sustainably, respecting its biodiversity and keeping in mind that the future of our planet is compromised. Thanks to its characteristics, it stands out from other fruits. Its cultivation has a promising future despite rising challenges due to climate change. In the provinces Malaga and Granada the mango is the star of tropical fruits. Its ability to adapt to our climate and the advantages it offers in terms of conservation of the fruit during the transport, makes this variety of mango the most cultivated. In particular, the Osteen variety is the most popular in our region. It requires special knowledge for the maintenance of the tree, but once you gain this knowledge it will provide a good harvest. ![]() The absence of frost and the good distribution of rain throughout the year makes the cultivation of mangoes possible in our region. In suitable climatic conditions it grows robust and doesn’t need a lot of natural resources, like water. Mangoes originated in South-East Asia, from India to the Philippines. The introduction of the mango tree to the agricultural landscape and the rising popularity of its fruit, gave our farm the opportunity to expand over the last years. Growing exotic fruits belongs to the history of our region, La Axarquía. Since 2006, the mango trees at La Finca de Arroyo de la Huerta have been part of the family business.
